Santos Acquires Eastern Star Gas

Santos has acquired Eastern Star Gas Ltd. (ESG) and, subsequently, sold a 20% interest in ESG's permits in the Gunnedah Basin, New South Wales, to TRUenergy. Pursuant to these transactions, Santos will assume opera-torship and own 80% of ESG's coal seam gas (CSG) permits with TRUenergy owning the remaining 20%.
