Japan Plans LNG Terminal

Tokyo Gas says it plans to build a fourth LNG receiving terminal to meet increased industrial demand within a 200 km radius of Tokyo. As part of its medium-term strategy for fiscal 2009-13, Japan's biggest gas utility said it will build the terminal in the coastal city of Hitachi in Ibaraki prefecture, northeast of Tokyo, starting up around 2017.
