To provide a terminal device in which a Japanese inputting operation of a user is simple.SOLUTION: A terminal device comprises: an operation unit to which an input key is inputted by an operation input by a user; a display unit on which the inputted input key is displayed; a storage unit which stores a popular order database in which a conversion word is associated with a popular order of the conversion word with respect to the input key; and a candidate word selection unit which displays the conversion word selected in a popularity order from the popular order database on the display unit as a candidate word, when the input key is inputted.
