Desire Plugs Falklands Well

London-listed Falkland Islands explorer Desire Petroleum announced Tuesday that it had been unable to fully evaluate its Rachel sidetrack well due to a mechanical hitch and will plug and abandon the well. However, the firm said the limited data it did manage to collect was sufficiently encouraging for the company to plan to drill another well on the Rachel prospect, located in the North Falklands Basin.
