After several failed attempts to attract foreign partners for the Lopukhovsky Block offshore Sakhalin, Gazprom Neft is considering returning the license for the acreage to the Russian Natural Resources Ministry's Federal Subsoil Usage Agency (Rosnedra), sources claim.Another option could be for Gazprom Neft, the oil arm of state gas giant Gazprom, to negotiate with Rosnedra over amendments to the licensing terms that would allow it to postpone exploration work on the block.
