Italy’s Eni and former Dutch unit Snamprogetti Netherlands will pay a total of $365 million to settle charges by the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and Justice Department that they funneled more than $180 million in bribes to Nigerian government officials in an effort to obtain contracts to build Nigeria’s Bonny Island LNG terminal.
