Marathon says it has kept the US government informed of its intentions to invest in Iraq抯 Kurdistan region, and that the company 搘ill work closely with the US and central government of Iraq and all involved.?Spokeswoman Lee Warren, however, declined to comment on whether the US government asked the company to refrain from investing in the region, given ongoing disputes between the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) and Baghdad over oil policy-making rights.
