摘要

French oil major Total may cut gas supplies to the Bontang LNG plant from its Mahakam Block in Indonesia if Bontang can't find enough buyers. Mahakam, off East Kalimantan, provides the bulk of the feed gas to Bontang, which has seen a number of term customers cancel cargoes this year. Indonesian state Pertamina has been trying to sell the spare cargoes in the spot market, but Total's Indonesian head, Elisabeth Proust, says the French firm may cut Mahakam output if the sales drive fails. "We hope that we don't reduce a lot ... maybe only about 5% of our average yearly production," the Jakarta Post quoted Proust as saying Tuesday.
