A fire has shut down one of the two diesel desulfurization units at Lithuania's Mazeikiu Nafta (MN) refinery, the only refiner in the Baltic states. MN said the blaze broke out Sunday and was quickly put out, with no injuries and minimum environmental damage. "We had to cut output due to the fire, but it was not a significant change," Reuters quoted a company spokesperson as saying. MN said customers "have not experienced any interruptions in products deliveries because of the outage," and that experts are investigating the cause of the fire - thought to have been a gas leak.
