Russian Oil Exports Rise

Russian exports of crude oil outside the former Soviet Union - by pipeline, rail and bypassing the network of national pipeline operator Transneft - totaled 4.429 million b/d (18.731 million metric tons) in March, according to official energy ministry data. That represents year-on-year growth of 6% and a 4.8% increase on the February total as Russian exporters try to sell as much crude abroad as possible while prices are steadily rising.
