摘要

The use of rubber-reinforced tracks (RRTs) on agricultural machinery (tractors and combines) is in keeping with modern trends in the development of agricultural production and engineering. At present, practically all of the great tractor and combine firms (John Deere, AGCO Corp., Claas, Case, New Holland, etc.) are conducting the trial developmentand standard production of tractors and combines with RRT systems, which is making it possible, in comparison with the traditional wheel technology for western countries, primarily to reduce the harmful effect on soil, to increase the traction characteristics and the economy of crawler tractors, and to make possible effective operation on heavy and waterlogged soils.
