摘要

Load angle δ, by definition is the angular displacement between the excitation voltage E and the terminal voltage V of the generator. Its value is a useful parameter of the synchronous generator in relation to its stability limit. The estimation of this parameter is of utmost importance since its value can be used as a measure of how close the generator is to pole-slipping and thus can be operated near its stability limit. This paper focuses on the simulation of synchronous generator load angle estimation using SIMULINK. It deployed the voltage-current vector diagram and linearized form of swing equation in building the simulink blocks. Results obtained revealed that load angle value remains constant during steady-state operation but a swing results when a disturbance is introduced into the system.
