摘要

The authors have developed an improved procedure available for inhomogeneous modeling and they confirmed its validity by comparing the numerical results given by the procedure with the corresponding strict solution. After that, they have applied it to a stability evaluation analysis of a man-made rock slope, and they confirmed that rock surface displacements at the seven measuring points to date are due to elastic deformation based on removal of overburden pressure by the excavation progress-because of the agreement between the displacements of the seven points which were calculated from the models of an inhomogeneous elastic body and the displacements at the corresponding points which were actually measured.
