NEW DOSING UNIT WITH BRUSHLESS DC MOTOR LAUNCHED

New Omap, an Italian supplier of materials handling equipment covering loading, storing and mixing, drying, dosing, conveying and granulating, has developed a new range of dosing units. These new units are said to incorporate a brushless DC motor with torque control based on the Hall Effect (the production of a potential difference across an electrical conductor when a magnetic field is applied in a direction perpendicular to that of the flow of current).
