摘要

The prediction of the occurrence of failure events for process equipment is of great significance for ensuring safe, highly efficient and extended operation of modem large scale chemical, petrochemical, nuclear and electric power plants. In this work, a series of new techniques for predicting the damage to structural materials and remaining life of process equipment have been developed, based on fuzzy set theory and quantitative metallography supported by pattern recognition techniques.
