A line for the production of three-layer polypropylene pipes for heating and hot and cold water distribution in buildings has been developed by Cincinnati Extrusion. The pipes consist of two outer PP random copolymer layers and a middle layer made of PP homopolymer filled with a 10 to 20 per cent short glass fibres. Layer thicknesses vary between 25/50/25 and 33/33/33 per cent.
