Austrian packaging producer Greiner Packaging has announced that it will only use BPA (Bisphenol A)-free bottles for its products as an alternative to polycarbonate.The company has relied on Tritan copolyester from Eastman as a raw material since 2010. It has been used for the production of Kavodrink bottles and 5-gallon bottles as an alternative to polycarbonate. Now, in the Kavodrink bottle sector, the switch to the exclusive use of the innovative raw material has been accomplished. "There is a significant increase in demand for BPA-free plastics from customers and market alike. With Tritan copolyester, we can offer an optimum solution", Gunter Ausserwoger, Head of Division Kavo at Greiner Packaging, said.
