Progress of passive-type force display system with ER fluid devices

摘要

Passive type systems are essentially safe, and expected that the system generating large force can be developed easily. We had developed ER fluid brakes and a 2-DOF (degrees of freedom) passive type force display system using ER brakes, and had made a presentation on it at ERMR2001. In this paper, we introduced progress of our study from ERMR2001.
