GENERALIZED MODEL OF PHOTOVOLTAIC MODULE USING MATLAB/SIMULINK

This paper originally proposes a generalized photovoltaic (PV) model that is extensively suitable for all PV cells, modules, and arrays of different cell types using Simulink software. The proposed model is implemented with a user-friendly icon and a configurable dialog box like Simulink block libraries. These make the generalized PV model useful for the simulation and analysis of the PV output current and power characteristics. The proposed model is validated for a commercial PV module using the experimental data of PV manufacturer datasheets. The simulation results show the applications for the easy-to-use simulation of PV cell and module.
