Closed belt conveyor systems for bulk materials with extreme properties

As a rule, when choosing a conveyor system for transporting bulk materials, the bulk material properties are decisive criteria alongside conveying capacity and the geometry of the conveying route to be covered. Extreme bulk material properties such as being damp, viscous, abrasive, dusty etc. demand special conveying systems where these bulk material properties do not have any negative effects on the functioning of the transport system even in the long term. This article will present some of the experiences made by FAM Forderanlagen Magdeburg GmbH, Germany, with the use of closed belt conveying systems for transporting bulk materials with special properties.
