摘要

Protection of personnel inside buildings against chemical and biological (CB) attack has become a major concern in recent years, and protection of building occupants against an internal release of an airborne CB agent is a particularly challenging problem. Current methods for evaluating threats of the latter kind rely on two-dimensional multi-zone or nodal numerical models. These models facilitate rapid computations, but they are unable to capture important three-dimensional (3D) flow features that determine the rates and patterns of rapid CB dispersion.
