Biomedical images are to be analysed for the extraction of clinical information. Modern CT scanners can provide very high resolution images, however they are not sufficient to help the physicians in the diagnosis of several diseases affecting the internal organs of different tissues. This gives out doubt and subjectivity in the diagnosis of diseases. Hence it is very much essential to develop suitable image processing systems for the further analysis of these images. In this paper fuzzy based image processing techniques are addressed which are useful for the analysis of low contrast images such as X-ray, CT and radiographic images of the liver.
