摘要

Experimental and numerical study was carried out on strengthening of beam members having insufficient flexure reinforcement. Strengthening of reinforced concrete structures by glass fiber sheet with mineral based composites is carried out. Experimental study involved the load deflection behaviour of retrofitted flexure deficient beams. Results are compared with that of finite element models through static nonlinear analysis. The results shows that the load carrying capacity is increased due to retrofitting and deflection, flexural stress and cracking were reduced. This helps us to conclude that fiber sheet with mineral based composites is an effective method for improving structural performance under both service and ultimate load conditions.
