Simulation of Suction Process of Port Fuel Injection S.I. Engine

摘要

A thermodynamic model for the simulation of the port fuel injection suction stroke is done and its simulation is carried out using computer program developed in MATLAB. Subsequently the values of pressure, volume, temperature are found out for each increment in crank angle (θ) using the same model by simulation. By using this computer program for any engine running at specified conditions, parameters that characterise the port fuel injection can be computed practically. The above-mentioned parameters for several engines with different geometries and running at different operating conditions are determined theoretically, and these predicted values are compared with experimental data. Good agreement between predicted and experimental results is obtained.
