摘要

Detailed analysis of maintenance scheduling in a packaging industry was conducted with five systems of maintenance. The main objective of the schedule was to optimize the total maintenance cost. A Genetic Algorithm coded in Mat Lab 2007b was used to evaluate the expected cost of maintenance. After multiple generational runs of the programme, a reduction in the cost of maintenance and equipment effectiveness was observed in a well-known packaging plant.
