摘要

The use of vegetable oils in engines poses many problems associated with their physical and chemical characteristics. Vegetable oils, close to the diesel, are increasingly used in diesel fuel. Yields, power output and consumption are still not well characterized. This study, conducted on palm oil, Jaropha, pistachio and Akpi aims to make a functional analysis of these oils in an engine using diesel fuel usually reference. The characteristics of these oils are closer to those of diesel, so we use a diesel engine for our study. The determination of the specific fuel consumption, the hours consumption, the engine torque and performance of each oil compared to diesel fuel allows us to evaluate the performance of the engine operating with these oils, the differences between these oils and their implications in changes to be made on this engine.
