摘要

This article presents the fields of application of heat engines and their role in the modern world. The performance specifications and the trends in their improvement are described. The analysis of the current trends in the development of vehicle engines with combined supercharging systems is performed. The different variants of combined supercharging systems, including electric chargers, electric turbochargers, and turbogenerators, and their features are studied. The different variants of layout and design solutions for combined supercharging systems, their advantages and disadvantages are studied. A comparative analysis of the components and assemblies of combined supercharging systems is performed, the types of applied modern electric motors and turbines are studied, and the election of the optimal components is carried out. On the basis of the analysis, the conclusions were made on this theme and the trends for the further research aimed at the improvement in the performance of internal combustion engines through the use of combined supercharging systems were chosen.
