A Study on the UI Element for NUI Trends and Real-Time VJing System

摘要

Due to developments of digital technology and sensor equipment, user interface researches for doing equipment controls have been active. Specially, when controlling over 2 equipments at real-time performances like VJing in NUI (Natural User Interface) based on user's gestures, it is very useful in that conveniences of users and promptness of orders are enhanced. In cognizing methods of gestures, there are contact type to which the sensor is attached to body parts of the user and non-contact type which is operated with regular distances, and selections can be different according to expenses, surrounding environment, and cognizing degrees. Thus, for designing user interface suitable to real-time performance environment like VJing, merit and demerit of each method according to use environment and devices shall be analyzed for the research on composing methods on proper gestures with cognizing methods on gestures and commander. This study analyzes merit and demerit on each method, and tries to propose 4 elements that shall be considered when using gestures as command in user environments.
