摘要

Segmenting an image for the early detection and diagnosis of disease is of great importance in medical image processing. In this paper a stochastic model based simple and clinically useful method is presented which is useful for the mass screening of cancer and related diseases. This paper uses image processing technology consisting of pre-processing followed by segmentation for separating the cancerous and non-cancerous liver tumors. CT image is used as the input to the system. The image was then analysed using image processing techniques.
