Compared to conventional wiring solutions CAN bus has brought a lot of improvements to vehicle cabling. But if you want to guarantee controlled, secure and efficient data communication, additional measures are required, as in the case of a failure for example, where data density and concentration of signals relevant to safety and general functionality might cause problems. AFL, specialised in automotive electronics and wire harnessing systems, has developed a controller, which enables users to complement their CAN networks with regards to physical separation, logical signal convertion, and variable data transmission rates.
