摘要

The limited work done on the microbial etiology of otitis deals mainly with bacteria, (Henderson and McCullough, 1993, Yeruham, et al., 1999). However, the crucial role played by fungi by way of etiology or association cannot be overlooked. Mycotic infections have a persistent nature. In the case of mixed infections, fungi being resistant to the commonly used antibacterial antibiotics, therefore delay the healing process. Their timely elimination with the use of suitable antibiotics therapy is therefore, important. In the present study, the in-vitro testing of Fluconazole and Ketoconazole has been carriedout on some representative isolates of the causative fungi.
