THE EVER-GROWING USE OF INJECTION-molded plastic enclosures and components in today's electronic devices has increased reliance on conductive coatings in EMI shielding systems. Plastics, given their essential composition, are non-conductive, do not mitigate EMI, and necessitate the incorporation of shielding for regulatory compliance and product reliability. Faster semiconductor clock speeds intensify the challenge of designing more robust shielding systems.
