摘要

Sn-pink pigments of the sphene type, with chromium ions as chromophor, were synthesized via the ceramic route as well as by the solgei method. The gel was prepared from colloidal silica and chlorides (SnCl_2, CaCl_2 centre dot 2 H_2O and CrCI_3 centre dot 6 H_2O). SiO_2, SnO_2, CaCO_3, and Cr_2O_3 were used in the traditional ceramic method. Crystal phases appeared after heat treatment at different temperatures, and their evolution was followed up by X-ray diffraction and IR spectroscopy. The chromatic properties of the pigments were tested in the glaze for ceramic tiles of Zorka-Sabac, Serbia.
