The generator forms pulses with an amplitude up to 2000-V and a slope of 2000-V/μs with the help of an inductive reactor controlled by a transistor commutator. The commutator pumps the inductive reactor and rapidly switches the current from the reactor to the block of the forming capacitors. The flat part of the pulse is formed by a clipper, whose circuit includes transistors connected in series and in parallel and charged capacitors. A technique for calculating values of the key elements of the high-power section of the generator is provided.
