The Grand Rapids Press,using ink manufactured by Central Ink Corporation,won third place in the 2007 Print Quality Awards in the 100,001-250,000 circulation category,recently held by the Southern Newspaper Publishers Association.Judges evaluated entries for black ink density settings,spot color laydown,process color printing,color registration,black-and-white halftone quality,page alignment and overall print appearance.
