Domestic producers are calling on U.S. Customs and Border Protection to take action against China Zhongwang Holdings, the second largest aluminum producer in the world, for what they claim is an illegal transshipment of aluminum products through Mexico and Vietnam after an enormous stockpile discovery last week - as the same company is being investigated by the Commerce Department in two other cases for duty evasion of its aluminum extrusions. In addition to the recently discovered stockpile, U.S. aluminum producers are charging in two different proceedings that China Zhongwang Holdings evaded duties through the manipulation of alloy content and false classification of pallets.
