U.S. Chamber Lobbies EU Officials, Lawmakers On Regulatory Cooperation

BRUSSELS - The U.S. Chamber of Commerce last week mounted a major lobbying push here to build support at the European Commission and the European Parliament for its vision of a regulatory cooperation chapter in the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP), according to a Chamber official. Peter Chase, vice president for Europe at the U.S. Chamber, said the group held about 22 separate meetings with commission officials and parliament members to explain its ideas and try to get them on board.
