The UK government has begun its consultation on a new digital rights agency that will be set up to tackle internet piracy. The move follows recommendations outlined in Lord Carter's interim Digital Britain report. The report, which will be published early this summer, was undertaken by the Ministry for Communications, Technology and Broadcasting to explore ways to protect copyright on the internet and take advantage of emerging digital technology.
