House Agriculture Committee Ranking Member Collin Peterson (D-MN) says he has decided to boycott the process of creating a new farm bill this year unless the House Republican leadership delivers a written commitment that the legislation will receive floor time once it is marked up. "I'm not going to get myself involved in a situation like we did last year where we go out and mark up a bill and then hope they're going to let us move ahead with it," Peterson said in a Jan. 8 interview with the AgriTalk radio show, referring to the House GOP leadership.
