The aortoplasy technique

We read with great interest the manuscript by Charokopos and colleagues in which they presented a novel technique for the treatment of aortic coarctation in an adult patient. We believe the article contains certain issues that need to be stressed regarding this method.First of all, the manuscript unfortunately severely lacks numerical values. The authors state that there was upper extremity hypertension with low blood pressure in the lower limbs, dilatation of the ascending aorta, thoracic aorta, aortic arch, and bilateral internal thoracic arteries, and severe coarctation, without presenting the gradients. It would be more informative for the readers to give exact values of blood pressure and diameters of the arterial tree, which also will help to assess the purpose and potential of the treatment.
