Build and Optimization Method of Embedded Cross Assembler

摘要

Since embedded technology have been proposed and quickly used in many fields, cross-assembler become a hot method in whole industry. The method for building rapidly assembler was proposed to solve the traditional assembler defects, such as long development cycle, high development costs, being incompatible with the new types of microcontrollers and so on. Also, the traditional uses fixed-size sliding window which makes it hard to match and optimize instructions sequence. An improved peephole optimization method which uses unfixed sliding window and can easily identify the non-continuous sequence of instructions, was designed by using regular expression. The experimental results showed that it can efficiently improve the assembler's space-time performance. Therefore, the approaches proposed in this study optimize the performance of assembler obviously.
