Breastfeeding is recognized as a universal good for mothers and infants. Breast milk has been the standard by which all formulas have been judged against. We know that there are benefits beyond nutrition we are just beginning to understand. We also know that there are segments of the population that are less likely to breastfeed their children than others, potentially changing that child's life course trajectory. This roundtable features 2 panelists who work with young mothers, helping them to attain their breastfeeding goals.
