After having analysed the drivability aspects of the electric vehicle of concerned, a more complete vehicle model, including the lateral dynamics, has been built. Most of the parameters of this 3D vehicle model, like the suspension kinematics, are coming from ADAMS. Some adaptations of AMESim and its technical content were necessary to make the model running in RTX environment used by the Renault driving simulator, called Ultimate. Tip out in curves on packed snow road has been analysed to highlight the contribution of the regenerative brake on the vehicle behaviour. Combining in a driving simulator drivability for electric vehicles, vehicle stability with ESP and regenerative brakes in the same software and a real driver opens new possibilities in early phases of the vehicle design process.
