Playing with fire Magnesite calcination kiln types reviewed

CALCINATION IS A vital step for the processing of magnesite. When considering the selection of the appropriate kiln type for the calcination of magnesite, not only the desired product quality of this procedure has to be considered, but also the inherent material characteristics of the feed material. In 2006, Polysius AG in Beckum, Germany joined forces with Maerz Ofenbau in Zurich, Switzerland and RCE Industrieofenbau Engineering in Radenthein, Austria. Together, these three companies have the ability to offer a wide range of kiln types suitable for different types of magnesite feed materials, covering natural magnesite, beneficiated magnesite and magnesium hydroxide.
