Hoben becomes Dupre Minerals as vermiculite supply tightens

FOLLOWING ITS ACQUISITION of the Vermiculite Division of Minelco Minerals Ltd (formerly Dupre Vermiculite) in November 2006, and a subsequent major plant investment, Hoben International Ltd has changed its name to Dupre Minerals Ltd to reflect its core specialisation in vermiculite. During 2007, Hoben invested 3 milliom pounds.(6 million dollars.) in a purpose designed facility to merge its existing capability with the newly acquired vermiculite business, all under one roof at Hoben's Newcastle-under-Lyme site in Staffordshire, UK.
