SOUTH AFRICAN SALT and chemicals company, Chlor-Alkali Holdings (Pty) Ltd is looking to become a joint venture partner with the Botswana government in Botswana Ash Ltd (Botash). For some time, Botash, the 250,000 tpa soda ash producer based in Sua Pan, Botswana, has been planning to sell its private shareholding -around 50 percent of its shares, with the government holding the remaining 50 percent .
