KCM halts sintered mullite production

Keith Ceramic Materials Ltd stop production of sintered mullite from its Belvedere, Kent facility by the end of March 2001 - subject to customer requirements - in order to concentrate on its fused minerals business.KCM has a sintered minerals capacity of around 8,000 tpa. This includes the sintered mullite grades KCM 73 and KCM 63, which are used to produce refractory bricks, shapes and monolithics for kiln furniture, and in glass and metallurgical industries.
