Calibration of shakers in the modern laboratory

There is currently an increasing demand for wider supervision in laboratories that operate under the regulations of ISO 9000, GMP, GLP, and FDA. This is particularly relevant in applications where the continuous observation and monitoring of all influencing parameters, such as temperature, humidity, and shaker speed, are required. To meet specifications in such areas, a system in which shakers can be programmed and monitored via a PC was developed. The methodologies for ensuring the full calibration of the above parameters in incubators and shakers using the system are detailed in the following application note (Figure 1).
