Three hundred open-pollinated seedlings of guava cvs. Allahabad Safeda, Bangalore, Sardar and hybrids of Allahabad Safeda x Seedless were evaluated for fruit length, diameter and weight. The coefficient of variation for fruit length ranged from 9.83 to 14.25 per cent and 10.05 to 13.39 per cent, for fruit diameter from 9.16 to 15.07 per cent and 11.13 to 11.81 per cent, for fruit weight from 25.25 to 46.35 per cent and 26.38 to 36.22 per cent during rainy and winter season, respectively. During boththe seasons, fruits of Bangalore had the maximum length, with the minimum in Allahabad Safeda x Seedless. However, the maximum mean fruit diameter and mean fruit weight were recorded in Sardar seedlings during both the seasons. On rainy season the minimum mean fruit weight was recorded in Allahabad Safeda and in winter season in Bangalore. During winter season fruit length, diameter and weight were significantly more in all the seedling types than in rainy season.
