Reluctantly, I have just bought a fancy new toothbrush. Despite my old toothbrush's somewhat decayed state, it had been so easy to use, and fitted into my life so comfortably, that I delayed replacing it for as long as possible. When I did throw it away, I had to go easy with my fancy new brush. All of its fancy features, such as its textured rubber grip, dynamic cheek and tongue cleaner and bizarrely named active bristles, seemed to clean my teeth in anything but an easy, comfortable way. So after my fancy new toothbrush had nicked my gums for the umpteenth time that week, I longed for my old one back. It worked. It didn't hurt me. It was good to use. Much like my recently departed Seat Mii, in other words.
